We wish to transform the discussion about social and environmental issues by showcasing creative and effective solutions. Criticism alone has not changed anything. This is why we are offering our time to spread the word about alternative solutions. We believe that the active participation of everyone in the community; from the politicians who write the rules to the citizens who live and breathe in this environment, is the only way to solve social and environmental problems. Regardless of the role each one of us plays in the community, we can all contribute to the adoption of sustainable policies. Each one of us uses energy, goods and the local amenities and can influence our elected politicians to make environmentally sound decisions. On the other hand, we all suffer the consequences of the current worldwide trend of unsustainable development. It is now widely accepted that this development is compromising our quality of life, our health and the survival of future generations: it is threatening the delicate and ancient equilibrium of life on our planet. In the era characterized by the media and reliant on unsustainable development, we want to use video to spread the message of sustainable politics. We want to debunk the myth that sustainable policies are not economically feasible by showing successfully functioning examples, that are affordable for local governments, and allow citizens to save money every day. That is why we created this project. With your help and your active participation, we want to spread the knowledge of these existing solutions. |
